No, believe it or not, but we don’t actually design coffee beans. This is the introductory paragraph of our site and, since we’re in the graphic design business, we’re supposed to do one of two things: either start off with a trite, pithy statement about how unbelievably creative and unique all of our designs are, how we work until four in the morning, subsisting on nothing more than Skittles, Mountain Dew, doughnuts and Starbucks double espresso cafe lattes; or we could go the corporate route and explain how all of our designs are cutting-edge, innovative, how responsive and reasonably-priced we are and how we will help you grow your business and identify your brand. The truth of the matter is, the entire reason you are visiting this site is to take a look at our portfolio of work and you have probably already stopped reading this paragraph. Let us take a moment and answer the most pressing question you currently face: "Why is it called Coffee Bean Design Company?" We wanted to have a name that was simple, identifiable, and memorable. Let’s face it, coffee beans are about as simple as you can get after sand and dirt. They’re easily identifiable to anyone over the age of about six. Show somebody a coffee bean and ask them what it is. 99 times out of 100 the answer is, strikingly, “a coffee bean.” [Our thorough, exhaustive studies with a number of ethnically and economically diverse focus groups have proven that just about any person who is currently breathing, when given a coffee bean and asked to identify it, will answer, “It’s a coffee bean.”] Lastly, we wanted a name that people would remember. Who could forget the humble coffee bean? We considered calling the company something nebulous like Innov8tive Conceptual Design Business Solutions but figured nobody (including ourselves) would have a clue what we were talking about. So, Coffee Bean Design Company it is! |
